FAQs

What insurances do you accept?

We work with HSA, FSA, CareCredit, and we have in house financing if you need it as well. Dr. Wheeler’s neuropathy approach is out of network for ALL insurance companies. Insurance companies don’t cover anything that we do, since our approach is all natural and we do not give pills, shots, or perform surgeries.

Why won’t my insurance cover this?

The insurance model will cover pills and surgeries. Medicare guidelines, Section 2251.3 states: “A treatment plan that seeks to prevent disease, promote health, and prolong and enhance the quality of life is deemed not medically necessary.”

Do I need a referral to be seen at your clinic?

No! There is no referral needed to see a neuropathy relief doctor.

Can neuropathy be cured?

Unfortunately, there is no cure for neuropathy. Neuropathy is nerve damage and there is no surgery, medication, or injection that will cure it. Dr. Wheeler offers a natural approach to reversing neuropathy that works by rebuilding and re-educating the nerves, which will help improve sensory loss and help relieve symptoms.

How much does this program cost?

We do not have a one size fits all system in our clinic. Once Dr. Wheeler has done your exam and consultation, he will put together a program specifically designed for you and your neuropathy goals. Dr. Wheeler will also let you know the breakdown of costs and what the process will look like. We do work with people on fixed incomes, single income budgets, retired budgets, and we have many different financing options! We are excited for you to invest into your health and start reversing your neuropathy!

What causes neuropathy?

There are over 200 different causes of neuropathy that include:

  • Chemotherapy
  • Surgery
  • Bodily Trauma
  • Autoimmune disorders
  • Toxin Exposure
  • Diabetes
  • and so much more..

Even more common is idiopathic neuropathy, meaning that the cause is unknown. We can still help regardless of the cause to your neuropathy.

Can peripheral nerves heal?

YES! It is established in scientific literature that some nerves can heal. We need to not only get the nerves to heal, but we need to find the root cause and stop whatever is causing the nerve damage in the first place. Nerves need the proper support to be provided so we can optimize healing and get you back to doing what you love!
